Our Mission
Manitou Environmental Citizens Action (MECA) is a non-profit organization committed to reconstructing, restoring, revitalizing, and preserving the historic, sacred, and natural beauty in and around Manitou Springs, CO. The Rainbow Falls Restoration is our first project. As MECA,our vision is to reclaim and revitalize Rainbow Falls as a natural attraction and recreation destination, providing a place where visiting families and citizens can gather to enjoy the natural beauty of Rainbow Falls and surrounding areas. Our intention is to facilitate the involvement of citizens, local organizations and our government in creating this vision. Everyone benefits from this involvement and from the completion of this collective undertaking.

Manitou Environmental Citizens Action was founded in 2006 by Lane Williams and L'Aura Montgomery.
We are not an independent 501(c)(3), but a member of the Pikes Peak Community Foundation.
